In the Middle of Everything ~ ~ ~ ~

Ever been there?  Had so many things to do that you don't know what to start, what to finish, when to breathe, when to stop and smell the roses, and swear a bit when you have to stop and make dinner?  Lordy, that is where I am right now.  I have so many projects going, new projects to start, quilting, knitting, crocheting, yarn  and fabric bought for those projects, and what do I do?  You guessed it, I went to a Quilt Show yesterday and fell in love with two new quilting techniques, one called the "Twister" and the other a variation of Stack and Whack.  I bought fabric and patterns for both and I have no idea when I will be able to start or even look at this purchase.  I am so bad!!!!!  And to top it all off, I want to learn how to make socks and the Magic Loop technique.  Now when do you suppose I will fit that in?  But wonder of wonders, they had a hand painted yarn exhibit at the show and I found a 40" size 3 circular needle for $5.00.  Grabbed it up real quick.

Please tell me I am not alone.  Please tell me I am a normal crafty person.  Please tell me anything so I won't think I am going crazy..........

Currently I am knitting Debbie Macomber's Miracle Scarf and it is beautiful.  Also knitting a celtic cable scarf.  This is something new to me.  I love cables, but have never done celtic knitting before.  It is facinating as well as beautiful.  Once you get into the pattern and can see what you have, it is really quite easy to follow.  Both of these are at my computer desk to work on while reading or waiting for mail :) Scarves are such a wonderful way to try out new patterns and techniques.

I have two crocheted afghans in progress. These are in the living room to do while watching a bit of TV.

My sewing room waits for me patiently to spend some time in there.  I try and make it at least 2 hours a day to work on current quilts and wall hangings and dream up new ones.  On top of this, I am valiently trying to master free motion quilting.  It's like trying to rub you head and your tummy in different directions at the same time.  Impossible!!!!

So there you have it.  Craftyjamie has finally gone crazy.

Oh you are so not alone! Just two days ago I was marveling that I only had one project on the needles, well that lasted all of a day, now I have three on the needles and orders for more. Not to mention all the projects I have floating around in my head!

So you are not alone, there are at least two of us!
