What in the World is a Salt Pig !!

You'all know what a "salt pig" is?  No?  Well, let me tell you.  It's the cutest little salt holder you would ever hope to find and where is the best place to find this little wonder?  Well, on top of the stove, of course.

I have a nice wooden spoon that fit's right inside of that little pig's mouth and it comes in real handy for salting all kinds of stuff.  Here's a picture of my little wonder.



The crux of the story of my little Salt Pig being here on the Meanderings is because I have a story to tell you. My daughter came to visit for a weekend a while back and on her first morning here, she got up before me and had her first cup of coffee.  I came out soon after and she was looking a bit pale.  I asked her what in the world was the matter.  Well to make a long story short, she had just put two teaspoons of salt into her first cup of morning coffee :)   Need I say more? ~ ~ ~
