Here is a closeup of the actual wheel. I stitched in the ditch in and around all the portions of the wheel and crisscrossed the inner borders and of course channelled the outer borders.

Finished Carpenter's Wheel
On September 27th I posted a picture of the pieced but not quilted Carpenter's Wheel wall hanging along with my woe begone story of its conception and eventual reduction in size from 58 inches to a more realistic 45 inches. I promised I would post the finished project when it was done. That time has come. It is finished and ready to be hung. I love it, I love it, I love it.
